Make Room

Make room for yourself to bloom

Adequate space to lighten up a room

Widen the hallways to unknown surprises

Turn on the lights to clear out the dimness

Make room for sorrow so that joy may follow

Make room for solitude so that healing may be true

Make room for silence to out tune the noise

May we whisper in silence and hear His gentle voice

Make room for the sunshine to penetrate through your window

Make room for the gentle breeze to flow through your screen

Make room for the stale air out of bad scenes

Of recent but painful realities of life unseen.

Make room for yourself to process the oddity

Of events unmindful of its casualty

They say we can’t take this time so lightly

I say I have made room for my heart to see more clearly.

Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. Psalm 16:5-6
